Dr Gerald Leatherman Award 2015
The Dr Leatherman award is held in the highest regard by the profession. It is the only award nominated and agreed upon by the BSDHT. It reflects true dedication, professionalism and determination for the greater good of all the profession.
This prestigious award is given to an individual, who has shown consistent support of the profession or to the BSDHT. The Award is in the form of a lapel pin bearing the words: 'Dr Leatherman Award' and a certificate to commemorate the date that the presentation was made.
Juliette was honored to recieved this award in October 2015. She is only the 14th recipient of the award in the last 21 years.

Lifetime Acheivement Award 2014
The Barbican in central London played host to the 2014 Dental Hygiene and Therapy awards. To close the ceremony, an award for outstanding contribution to dental hygiene and therapy went to hygienist and trained nutritionist with over thirty years experience Juliette Reeves.
Presenting the award to Juliette, Ken Finlayson, CEO of FMC told guests: ‘She qualified from Birmingham Dental Hospital in 1981 and writes regularly for the international dental press as well as being an editorial advisor to a number of dental journals including Irish Dentistry and DH&T. She is a terrifically passionate and influential hygienist who has been educating and inspiring her fellow dental professionals for many years.’
As Juliette walked to receive her award the entire room was upstanding, it was a fantastic moment for the profession.

The ADI Team Congress 2015
The 25th Anniversary ADI Team Congress was hosted at the SCC in Glasgow. The three day program included scientific sessions for clinicians plus a Team Program for Dental Nurses, Hygienists, Therapists and Practice Managers. As the immediate past ADI Committee Representative for Dental Care Professionals, Juliette was instrumental in the design and delivery of the Team Program for Dental Hygienists and Therapists, chairing the program and taking questions from the audience.
Juliette is trained in implant therapy and maintenance from Switzerland and the US. She is only one of two dental hygienists in the UK to hold the ADIA Implant Auxiliary Certification.

BSDHT Oral Health Conference 2013-23
As an active BSDHT member and member of the BSDHT Education Group., Juliette regularly takes part in lecturing and providing hands on training workshops at this annual national event for Dental Hygienists and Therapists.
Juliette writes regularly for her profession and is published internationally.
Professional Profile
Juliette lectures and teaches internationally on the care and maintenance of dental implants and also the role of nutrition in oral health.
Over the last few years she has lectured at EuroPerio Vienna, the International Federation of Dental Hygiene Capetown and the Swedish Dental Hygienist Association Stockholm and the 39th Annual Conference of the European Prosthodontic Association in Prague..
